Do you remember the cool Pirate Ship at City Park?

We need your help to
“raise the ship”
once again!

An entire generation of families made great memories at the wooden ship and play structure in City Park at Crescent Creek. Unfortunately, its age and disrepair required that it be removed. Since funds were limited, it has never been replaced.

Now, a new generation of kids and families are determined to “raise the ship” and bring the fun back to the park!

The Gig Harbor Maritime PlayZone project is an all-ability, all-inclusive play experience that will give every child a place to play as well as provide easy access for grown-ups of all abilities. The playzone will include an accessible fishing vessel representing the Gig Harbor fishermen of past and present, as well as other fun and challenging all-inclusive play equipment that will carry the maritime theme.

A group of community volunteers is spearheading this project and WE NEED YOU, the Gig Harbor community, to help with bringing this new ship to life! This new play area can only happen through community support of time and/or monetary donations. Please contact us to volunteer your time, expertise and/or make a financial contribution. With your help, we expect to “raise the ship” by Fall 2013!
